The ninth and 10th grade Honors Bible class and the 11th and 12th grade British Literature class recently visited the William Smith Morton Library.
The 11th and 12th grade British Literature students learned how to use the library as a research space, including exploring the reference room, finding age-appropriate materials, navigating the catalog and developing search queries. They also practiced searching for resources related to C.S. Lewis and learned transferable skills for using public libraries, along with how to search online using public databases and FinditVa. The session concluded with hands-on research time.
Meanwhile, the ninth and 10th grade students, studying apologetics and the love of God, focused on conducting research, identifying key biblical texts, analyzing their literary and historical context and learning how to use Bible commentaries for future study.
