On March 18, our fourth-grade class had a wonderful opportunity to visit Historic Jamestown.
Students stepped back in time as they explored the English settlement and gained a deeper understanding of early colonial life. They especially enjoyed visiting the Native American village, where they learned about daily life, traditions, and survival skills. One of the highlights was seeing the replicas of the first ships used in the Jamestown voyage and imagining the long journey across the Atlantic.
Students also learned about the important skills and traditions that the first Africans brought with them, helping them better understand the diverse contributions that shaped early America.
It was a meaningful, hands-on learning experience that truly brought history to life, and we are so proud of how engaged and respectful our students were throughout the trip.
