The successful candidate will prayerfully support and maintain the day-to-day operations of Banner Christian School by running the Aftercare program.
This is a part-time position Monday-Friday from 3-6 p.m., with occasional half days that are scheduled from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Position Qualifications
- Must be a Christian with sound Christian character and witness.
- Shall attend evangelical fellowship and lead a separated life.
- Must reflect the purpose of Banner, which is to honor Christ through Banner’s core values: discipleship, scholarship, stewardship and fellowship.
- Will exhibit an evangelical Christian worldview in attitude, speech, and actions. This includes being committed to God’s biblical standards for sexual conduct (Luke 6:40).
- Must hold a minimum of a High School diploma.
- Must respectfully submit and be loyal to constituted authority.
- Should have relationship gifts and personality which enables and enhances positive interaction with students and their parents.
- Supervise students involved in activities such as snack, homework, and planned indoor/outdoor activity time.
- Supervise aftercare assistant.
- Proficiency with email and the Internet.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned tasks satisfactorily and on time, without reminders.
- Multi-task oriented.
- Confidentiality and discretion with privileged information.
- Strong 'people skills:' kind; patient; able to communicate clearly and pleasantly in person, by telephone, and in writing; able to work effectively with many different types of people, including administrators, other staff members, parents, teachers, and students.
- Neat, professional appearance (appropriate attire and grooming).
- Flexibility, and effectiveness in a work environment with frequent interruptions.
