At Banner Christian, exciting Homecoming festivities included recognizing our Homecoming court honorees as well as hailing our Homecoming king and queen.
The freshmen prince and princess were: Xander Dancey and Violet de la Cruz; Mason Mitchell and Leah Chen represented the sophomores; juniors Landon Moore and Celeste Pope were elected by the juniors; and Joshua Hanna, Shemar Wright, and Blake Yancey; Lorena Ayala, Anna Bullock, Mya Klieswecz, Annabella Lekberg, Joanna Weaver and Amaya Williams represented the senior class.
The entire middle and high schools voted on the selection of the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen and chose Shemar Wright (pictured above left) and Annabella Lekberg (pictured above right) for the honor.
The day also featured wins by our junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball teams. They were enthusiastically supported by incredible performances from the Bearcats’ cheerleaders who fired up the crowds at the well-attended events. Congratulations also goes to our Developmental team and Middle School basketball squad who played their hearts out in developing their athletic ability, skills and sportsmanship.
Earlier in the week, school pride stood out during Spirit Week and included creative theme days as well as fun and fellowship.
As a way of generating continued Bearcat loyalty, our athletic director Austin Swiech recently announced that we will be having a contest between the grades at school to see which grade attends the most basketball games continuing until the end of the basketball season.
