Banner Christian extends a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated group of volunteers who rolled up their sleeves for campus beautification day on Saturday, July 11.
The group, composed of students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators and volunteers connected to the Banner community, gave our campus a true upgrade and refreshed look. Their dedicated efforts resulted in vast improvements to the playground, the installation of a new basketball goal standard in the ground as well as completing several landscaping projects around campus.
We are also grateful to volunteer teams who joined us from The Village Church and The Chapel, who assisted with additional service projects. Members of The Village Church teamed with Banner volunteers to build an amazing gazebo, which is an incredible addition to our campus. Meanwhile, members of The Chapel helped to clear the cross country course—no small feat as the path needed tending to for use for cross country meets as well as other purposes.
Altogether, the rakes, shovels, pitchforks and wheelbarrows got a workout as our contingent took on tasks such as spreading mulch, performing landscaping in a variety of areas and undertaking general outdoor clean-up. Many thanks go to the individuals who supplied equipment, refreshments and snacks that helped make the day a success.
Working through the summer heat, this cooperative effort was a great opportunity to bless our school together and make a visible impact for our students as we prepare the grounds for the upcoming school year.
We give thanks to a community that steps in and serves together in a continued schoolwide commitment to teamwork and stewardship.
