By utilizing salt, ice, and a little movement, the chemistry students demonstrated that we can cause an endothermic reaction that would draw out heat from the cream, thereby cooling it down below the freezing point to create frozen ice cream...with sprinkles!
The smiles on students' faces and the pleasure they gained from making and enjoying the sweet treats were priceless.
