Prior to the varsity boys’ basketball game on Feb. 13, Banner Christian honored its three seniors, Chad Harris, Antoine Minter, and Micah Weathers, all of whom who’ve made an indelible mark on the program.
The Bearcats followed the celebratory occasion up by recording a 65-56 victory over Brunswick Academy. Minter recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds as Banner Christian recorded its 10th straight victory.
All who attended soaked in the incredible atmosphere as the coaching staff, led by head coach Sterling Dickerson, lauded the outgoing class, who were also hailed by family members, teammates, junior varsity/middle school players, cheerleaders, friends, and fans, among others in attendance.
Banner completed the regular season at 21-9 overall and they are perfect (14-0) in Virginia Colonial Conference contests. The VCC boys' basketball tournament will be conducted this coming week and below, please find the schedule.
