In late-January, Mr.Ivill's eighth grade civics class and Mr. Knapp's government classes attended Kids Deserve More Advocacy Day at the State Capitol.
Sponsored by the Family Foundation, students got to speak directly to House and Senate members about tax credits for private school and other legislation.
The highlight of the day was a press conference featuring Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears where 12th graders Micah Burtner and Chad Harris spoke. Our group also had a meeting with Attorney General Jason Miyare who emphasized the "Miracle of America."
Banner Christian was also recognized by members of both the House and Senate in both houses of the General Assembly.
