Students who participated in Banner Christian's summer camps had experiences that will make a lasting impact in and out of the classroom.
Fairy tales through STEAM summer camp was the theme of camp during the past few weeks. Students had a great time constructing houses that the big bad wolf couldn’t blow down, recreating a beanstalk from Jack and the Beanstalk and creating rafts and boats to help the Billy Goats Gruff cross the river without using the bridge.
Meanwhile, during Banner's summer Art Camp, children studied the Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky, an abstract painter who focused on color. Students drew on their creativity by painting, exploring printmaking and making paper bowls inspired by Kandinsky’s colorful circles.
