Office Manager

Natisha hails from Culpeper, making her an integral part of the local community. Her journey to Banner Christian started when she was approached by her former boss, Mr. Mike Owings. With a background in education, Natisha had previously worked at Germanna Community College and later as a K3 teacher at a local Christian school. Her diverse career path and love for working in the office made her a great fit for the Office Manager position at Banner Christian.

Natisha holds an Associate's degree in Education from Germanna Community College. While pursuing her education, she initially intended to transfer to the University of Mary Washington. However, her career took an unexpected turn when a full-time job opportunity arose during her time as a work-study student in the Financial Aid Department. With her husband and children, she decided to make the most of her time by staying home until both her kids were in school full-time. Following this, she worked as a K3 teacher for nine years before joining Banner Christian.

What drives Natisha's passion for her work at Banner Christian is the unique combination of her role in the office and her interactions with students of all ages. She takes immense joy in creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for the entire Banner community, from waving at families as they arrive to engaging with those who attend Praise and Worship. The Banner families have become her second family, and she approaches her work with the aim of making everyone feel welcome, just as she would like to be treated.

Banner Christian's faith-based mission aligns well with Natisha's approach, as she embodies the love and warmth that Christ has for His children. Her goal is to be memorable to students, hoping to leave them with a smile and a feeling of being welcomed and cared for.

In her spare time, Natisha enjoys her family, especially her new Bernedoodle puppy. She and her husband cherish their time together, whether it's watching movies, shopping, attending sporting events, or exploring the family farm. Her family-oriented nature extends to spending time with her two grown children, one of whom is engaged and planning a spring wedding, while the other is a sophomore at Liberty University pursuing a Biomedical Science major. As a family-oriented person, Natisha treasures time spent with both her own and her husband's family, who are fortunate to live in Culpeper.

Natisha Somerville's warm and welcoming presence at Banner Christian School Culpeper plays a vital role in shaping the school's caring and Christ-centered community, where all students and families are greeted with open hearts and smiles.
