Becky Owings

Becky Owings, a dedicated second-grade teacher at Banner Christian's Culpeper campus, brings a heart filled with love and faith to the classroom. She spent her formative years in King George, Virginia, growing up as the youngest of three siblings. From an early age, she discovered her passion for running and swimming, engaging in competitive sports.

Becky's faith journey began when she accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 13. She channeled her faith through a traveling singing and acting group called Believers Because, where she shared the gospel message with others.

During her college years at Mary Washington, Becky met her husband, Mike. Their shared interests in running, outdoor activities, and studying the Bible deepened their connection. As they raised their five children, Mike answered the call to serve in Christian education. Becky joined him in this journey, offering her support in various roles, including pre-school aide, music teacher, librarian, and after-care worker.

While her children were growing, Becky also put her English degree to use as a Content Writer for a children's goods company, honing her skills in communication and education. In 2022, she felt a strong calling to return to the classroom. Her devotion to teaching and her faith-driven approach promise an exciting and enriching experience for the children at Banner Christian. Becky Owings is thrilled to see what the future holds for her and her students as they embark on this educational journey together.
