Stacie Carlisle

Armed with an impressive educational background, Stacie holds multiple degrees, including a B.S. from Abilene Christian University, a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University, and M.Ed degrees from the University of Virginia and George Washington University.

When she's not inspiring young minds in the 5th-grade classroom at Banner Christian, you might find Stacie in Charlottesville, passionately cheering for her beloved Wahoos at their sporting events. She proudly dons the blue and orange, demonstrating her unwavering support through good seasons and challenging ones, especially on the football field.

With an extensive 31-year career in public education, encompassing roles as both a teacher and administrator, Stacie feels truly blessed to share her passion at Banner. Her ultimate goal is for her students to leave the 5th grade with a profound love for both Jesus and learning.

To achieve this, Stacie employs innovative and interactive learning approaches, such as STEAM projects, Escape rooms, and Scoots, among other engaging activities. Her commitment to fostering an environment where students are excited to learn and grow in their faith is evident in her teaching style.

Stacie can often be found in Praise and Worship, with a trusty cup of coffee in hand (Starbucks on Fridays is a must). There's a T-shirt that perfectly captures her essence, proclaiming, "With Jesus in her Heart and Coffee in her Hand, She is Unstoppable."
