Regine Bouchereau Johnson
Regine was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to the United States around the age of 10. She grew up in the Bronx, New York, where she completed her schooling and college. Regine earned her Bachelor of Science in Music in 1989 and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology in 2007, both from the University of New York.
Passionate about music, theater, and the arts, Regine found music to be her safe haven, helping her connect with others. After praying for the opportunity to work in a Christian school, she saw Banner Christian School’s ad for a music teacher, and she knew it was an answered prayer. Regine loves that Banner honors God by beginning each day with praise and worship, which aligns with her personal faith.
In the classroom, Regine emphasizes inclusion, recognizing that each student is at a different level and ensuring everyone feels part of the team. Outside of work, you can often find Regine arranging or practicing music, gardening, or watching bible teachings.
