With a Bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon College, Eddie is the perfect guide for 11th and 12th-grade social studies classes. Originally hailing from the small town of Bena in Gloucester, Eddie's life has revolved around two core pillars: family and sports. His college years at Randolph-Macon were marked by a passion for football and the pursuit of an education. His dream was to become a football coach, which led him to the world of teaching as a stepping stone to his coaching career.

However, reality set in, and Eddie discovered that teaching didn't quite pay the bills. He embarked on a 25-year corporate journey, working for a major oil company in Washington, D.C. But the call of education remained strong. After selling a business he had established a decade earlier, Eddie finally fulfilled his dream of becoming a teacher.

Throughout his teaching career, Eddie has shared his knowledge and passion at various schools, including Deep Run High School, Cumberland High School, Highland Springs High School, and now, Banner Christian. He's also actively involved in the football staff at James River High School.

Family plays a vital role in Eddie's life. He's been happily married to Diane for quite a while, and together, they have raised three wonderful adult children and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their eighth grandchild. As outdoor enthusiasts, they relish the moments spent at their mountain property in Highland County, where they are working on building their dream home.

Now, it's no secret that Eddie harbors an aspiration to start a football program at Banner, clinch a state championship, and enjoy a well-deserved retirement. With his love for both teaching and sports, Eddie is committed to nurturing young minds and creating a bright future.
