Middle & Upper Math & Science

Cameron Noon, a native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, found his way to Banner by a stroke of luck. He holds a B.S. in Geology from James Madison University and has experience working in the oil fields prior to his teaching career.

Cameron's passion lies in studying the Earth and its processes. He believes that understanding these connections enhances appreciation for the majesty of God's work and creation. He chose a career at Banner inspired by the students, who he describes as the best he's ever taught and whose drive for success motivates him to be a better teacher and coach.

In his teaching approach, Cameron strives to make as many connections with students as possible, meeting them at their interests and tying those back to topics covered in his science and math classes. His hope is that his enthusiasm for his subjects is as memorable as his enthusiasm for his students personally.

Outside of teaching, Cameron enjoys spending time outdoors with his children, building Lego castles and houses with his daughters, or woodworking with his father in their shop.
