Beth Jarratt
Beth is a Virginia native, though she spent her final years of high school and undergraduate studies in North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Barton College in 2018 and later completed her Master of Arts in Teaching for Elementary Education from Liberty University Online in 2022. Beth first arrived at Banner Christian School during her student teaching in 2022 and is thrilled to return for the 2024-2025 school year to teach 1st grade.
Beth has a passion for building strong relationships with her students and their families, believing that personal connection is key to fostering a lifelong love of learning. Her classroom is filled with joy, music, and hands-on experiences that help her students engage with the material in creative ways. Beth’s approach to teaching aligns with Banner’s faith-based mission, as she integrates Christian values into her lessons, helping to shape students into strong Christian leaders.
Outside of the classroom, Beth enjoys exploring new places around Richmond and Virginia, serving on her church’s hospitality team, spending time with family and friends, and reading. She is eager to share her love of learning and her faith with her students, creating an environment where they feel supported both academically and spiritually.
