Bert Rhodes

When Bert is not busy teaching and showering her 3rd graders with love, her heart and mind often wander to a small A-frame cottage by the sound of the Outer Banks, her personal "happy place."

The wind, surf, sandcastles, shell collecting, sunrises, and sunsets of the Outer Banks all fill Bert with a deep sense of joy and peace.

In addition to her love for the beach, she finds immense fulfillment in singing praise and worship songs with the young people at Banner Christian. Sharing her love for Jesus with her students brings her the same sense of joy and peace. With an impressive 41 years of teaching experience, Bert considers it a true blessing to continue being part of the ministry of teaching God's precious little ones. Witnessing their growth, helping them shine in all they do, and nurturing their relationship with God provides her with renewed strength and energy.

In the midst of a classroom filled with children, Bert sees Jesus each and every day. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being and spiritual growth of her students is a testament to her love for teaching and her deep faith.
