Art Teacher, Science 6, Bible 6

Born in South Carolina and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia from the age of eight, Anne Culver's roots have shaped her journey. Her path to Banner was paved by her mother, a former teacher at the school, and the desire to teach at a Christian school where her children could also attend. All three of her children started their education at Banner from a young age and are proud graduates of the school.

Anne is an alumna of Sweet Briar College in Amherst, Virginia, where she pursued a Studio Art Degree along with qualifications in Elementary Education and Art Education K-12. She is particularly passionate about drawing, painting, and printmaking.

In her art room at Banner, Anne fosters an environment of creativity and discovery. She believes that creativity is a pathway to learning new techniques and understanding creation itself. Her mantra for her students is that as God is the Creator, they too have the capacity for creativity.

Away from teaching, Anne cherishes time with her family, has a keen interest in collecting blue and white porcelain, and is an avid fan of Jane Austen movies. She holds a special fondness for the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
