Lower School Principal

Kathy Ivill is a passionate educator and the Lower School Principal at Banner Christian School. Originally hailing from the snowy suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, her journey to Virginia and Banner Christian began when her husband, Mr. Paul Ivill, accepted a job in Richmond.

Kathy's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Education in Administration & Supervision from Liberty University. Her career is driven by a lifelong calling to impact children for Christ through education.

What drew Kathy to Banner Christian School is its unique commitment to infuse biblical truths into every facet of the school day, across all subject areas. The school also provides the privilege of building relationships with and discipling students, with the hope of nurturing unwavering commitment to the Lord.

Kathy's approach to teaching curriculum and managing administrative work is underpinned by unwavering faith, with a reliance on God's wisdom and guidance throughout her day. This aligns seamlessly with Banner's faith-based mission.

Outside of her educational role, Kathy cherishes time spent with family, relishes beach outings and poolside relaxation, and finds solace in reading suspense novels by Christian authors.

As the Lower School Principal, Kathy Ivill leads with faith and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of her students at Banner Christian School. Her unwavering commitment to faith-based education ensures a lasting impact that students will carry with them for years to come.
