Welcome new alumni!
Tyler Brown credits Banner Christian School for changing his life for the better. As someone who grew up in a rough neighborhood, his parents did not want him to attend public school because of the low graduation rates. When the private school he had been attending suddenly closed, Banner Christian welcomed him in, even though the school was already three weeks into its curriculum. Brown never thought it would be attainable to attend college, but Banner Christian proved him wrong through teachers encouraging him to pursue his dreams and believing that he could accomplish his goals. Brown graduated from Liberty University in 2014, and now lives in New York City pursuing his dream as a news reporter at WBNG. “I honestly think that I would not be doing the career path I’m doing if it weren’t for Banner,” he stated. It was through a Banner Christian Talent Show that Tyler’s desire to report and host events was revealed to him. Brown loved the community at Banner Christian as if they were his own family. The community played a vital role in keeping him, along with many other kids, from going down the wrong path. Tyler Brown is extremely thankful that he had the privilege to attend Banner Christian School.
