4th Grade Teacher

Originally from Burlington, North Carolina, Amy's journey to Virginia began when her husband attended Washington & Lee Law School. They settled in the Richmond area when a job opportunity arose for him, and they made the decision to enroll their three children at Banner Christian. All three of their children have since graduated from the school.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science from Columbia International University, where she majored in Bible and Elementary Education. Her life's purpose revolves around her love for children and her deep passion for teaching them about God, His Word, and the magnificent world He has created. She's equally enthusiastic about instilling a lifelong love for learning in her students.

After her first two children graduated from Banner Christian, Amy made the choice to become part of the school's faculty, driven by her desire to use her God-given gifts and talents in a Christian setting.

Amy's unique approach to teaching centers around building strong relationships with her students. She ensures that her classroom is a safe and nurturing environment where children feel free to take chances and explore their potential. Her fondest hope is that her students remember the joyful moments of learning together and, above all, recognize God's immense love for them.

Outside the classroom, you'll find Amy spending cherished moments with her family and reveling in the beauty of God's creation in the mountains. Her commitment to both her students and her faith make her a treasured asset to Banner Christian School, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of those she teaches.
